Mako Iwamatsu will have been dead for 6 years on July 21, 2012. And I’ve just been thinking, what would ATLA have been like without him? Uncle Iroh’s voice was a voice that could comfort us, that could make us laugh, and that could support us. I know, he’s a voice actor, that’s his job right? But to me, he meant so much more.
Mr.Iwamatsu’s ability to capture the character of Uncle Iroh was certainly admirable.
Therefore, on July 21, we should honor his memory by creating a “favorite quote from Uncle Iroh” tag where everyone can put their quotes. And if you don’t want to do that, just reblog this post to get the word out. <3
